How Ethiopia grabs your soul! He has done that in ours for sure. Reading your story makes it feel like our family was just there. Want to meet you guys someday! I had no gloves but there was an infant rolling around in a bed that had clearly not been changed in weeks. He had a very, very dirty diaper...one of those lovely explosive ones that had soiled the sheets & his body. I could NOT leave him like that, so I went to work cleaning him up with tears running down my cheeks b/c I couldn't pack him up & take him home with me. I cleaned him up, changed the sheets & loved on him for a while before I had to return him to the bed & leave for the day. I was absolutely broken & heartsick for that child but I knew that, despite the "ewww" factor, I had loved that baby boy that day & if it meant that I got a disease...then so be it. God protects us & honors our willingness to be His hands & feet. Good job today...and good job, kids!Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01606570803094936934noreply@blogger.com
